Camp Karol of Saint Charles Center $1,600,000
Every generation desires that the values and beliefs essential to their moral and spiritual well-being are handed on to the next generation. This is one of the primary ways we keep our faith alive, not only in our current day, but into the future. This will be the fundamental mission of Camp Karol of Saint Charles Center.
Over the past 20 years, the Saint Katharine Drexel Conference Center of Saint Charles Center has satisfied some of these essential activities. Through the hard work of many youth ministers and pastors in our area, we must now plan for growth. Saint Charles Center intends to expand its facilities and broaden its youth ministry programming. By the grace of God, 89 acres of additional property is now available to us, conveniently located near our current facilities along Sam Houston Jones Parkway in Moss Bluff to help us achieve our mission.
Having the proper facilities will attract our young people to spend more time with one another in a fun, Catholic environment. Someday folks will share that they met their lifelong friends, their spouse or answered God’s call to the celibate life at this camp.

The design of Camp Karol will be tailored to a holistic spirituality, appealing to the mind, body and soul of young retreatants. The experience of “getting away” to the sacred space of Camp Karol for serenity and renewal, as well as personal challenge and growth, will be a seed of faith we will plant early in the lives of our young people. With this experience, as they move into adulthood, they will feel comfortable returning to Saint Charles Center for ongoing spiritual support at a place where they might rediscover life’s meaning in quiet reflection as future retreatants, as so many of our adults have in recent years.
